- is the idea that documents and parts of documents can be reused if they are compartmentalized into discrete units. This Content Reuse allows documents to be distributed in multiple formats for different purposes. For example, PDF, online help systems, and HTML documents can be created simultaneously. With Content Reuse, documents can also be easily updated without having to update every document individually. Instead, the section in question is updated, and then auto-updated throughout the system. With Content Reuse multiple language translation is also much easier. Translators do not have to translate whole documents. Instead, they can reuse content and just update the sections that are new. Content Reuse is extremely powerful, especially for extensive document systems.
